Brisbane, Australia (Mathaba.Net) – Governor Penelope Wensley has not commented publicly on judicial corruption allegations involving her brother Robert Wensley QC made by Brisbane resident Jennifer Nash who has made the allegations in several local and international media.
Governor Wensley was sworn in as the 25th Governor of Queensland on July 29, 2008. The swearing in ceremony in front of 480 selected guests cost tax payers $80,000.Queensland Premier Anna Bligh at the time defended the cost, saying the ceremony was important as it was not every day Queensland welcomed a new governor. “This is an important role in a democracy. It’s not a lavish affair but I think it is important that a formal ceremony be undertaken,” Ms Bligh said.
At that very time Governor Wensley and Premier Bligh were undoubtedly well aware of the judicial abuse and corruption complaint by Brisbane woman Jennifer Nash involving Robert Wensley QC, a former Judge in the Queensland Anti Discrimination Tribunal and three other Judges.
The other Judges mentioned in the documented and corroborated judicial abuse and corruption complaint by Ms Nash are former Queensland Anti Discrimination Tribunal President, Judge Jean Dalton QC, Queensland Supreme Court Judge, Ann Lyons and Queensland Supreme Court Judge, Roslyn Atkinson, who is also the Queensland President of the International Committee of Jurists.
To date the allegations by Nash and her son that their courtroom audiotapes and transcripts were repeatedly edited in order to pervert the course of justice, remain unacknowledged as government apparently refuses to take a position one way or another vis-a-vis these serious allegations.
Allegations she made on a call to Brisbane radio station 4BC included that she and her son were “systematically abused and terrorized” by the above mentioned persons, and that she and her son had no legal representation and that her son was prevented from reading out a statement concerning human rights.
Published letters to the editor in local newspapers and a radio interview with former 4BC Radio Brisbane presenter, Chuck Brooks in the possession of this news agency as well as previous coverage by this and other news media have, Nash says, been simply ignored as the state continues to evade dealing with the judicial abuse and corruption claims made by the unrepresented bullied schoolboy and his mother.
“Equal treatment before the law is a pillar of democratic societies. When courts are corrupted by greed or political expediency, the scales of justice are tipped, and ordinary people suffer”, Nash quotes Huguette Labelle, Chair of Transparency International, as saying.
Despite strong criticism, the Queensland Parliamentary Crime and Misconduct Committee has refused to investigate or even table the corroborated judicial corruption complaint in Parliament.
Nash wonders “is this really transparency and democracy as Premier Bligh claims or is this a political cover up?”
